Bathing System Well

OPTIONAL FEATURE (Can be added to tub at time of construction)

Bathing System Well: 9" x 9" External Well* open on top, integrally attached to drain end of tub. Can only be built into tub that also has Hairtrap Drain System*. Bottom of well is approximately 4 inches lower than the bottom of the bathtub. Designed to accommodate the pump for a recirculating bathing system. Provides these advantages:

Creates separate space for recirculating pump, keeping pump out of bathing area.
The bottom of the well is approximately 4 inches lower than the bottom of the bathtub, so the cross section of area needed to be filled with water for proper action of the pump is much less than if the pump sat on the bottom of the tub. The amount of water and shampoo used may be reduced up to 75% (with no loss of effectiveness) .
All water that is recirculated must pass through the Hairtrap Drain Basket* before being repumped, so the pump is less likely to clog with hair.
The external drain valve allows the tub to be drained without the need to reach through dirty water to access a drain plug.
